In the home appliance industry, motor housings are commonly used in air conditioners, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and other equipment, usually made of ABS engineering plastic or steel materials to reduce costs while ensuring insulation performance. Motor housings for power tools are mostly made of plastic compression molding or steel structures to provide the necessary strength, dust and moisture resistance, and a certain level of flame retardancy.

Quality control begins at the raw material sourcing stage, where material origin and consistency are strictly managed. During production, online inspection systems monitor key process parameters in real time, enabling timely correction of deviations. The process yield rate remains stable at 99.995%, with 100% inspection before shipment.

Environmental Compliance and Manufacturing Control

HAWEN strictly follows environmental and regulatory requirements in material selection and manufacturing processes. Products are manufactured using 1215 low-carbon free-cutting steel to reduce harmful substances. Surface treatment is performed through a fully automated black oxide process, preventing manual contamination while improving corrosion resistance and reducing waste. All products comply with ROHS, REACH, and other international environmental regulations.

Material Selection


DC04 is a low-carbon steel material mainly used for deep drawing processing.

Typical Chemical Composition

Carbon (C) ≤0.08%, Manganese (Mn) ≤0.4%, Phosphorus (P) ≤0.025%, Sulfur (S) ≤0.02%, Aluminum (Al) ≥0.015%.


Mechanical Properties


Its yield strength ranges from 130 to 210 MPa, tensile strength is not less than 270 MPa, and the percentage elongation after fracture is not less than 34% — these indicators reflect its excellent plasticity and formability.


Surface Classification & Formability


The surface quality of DC04 is divided into three grades:

● FB: Higher grade finished surface, minor defects that do not affect forming are allowed

● FC: High grade finished surface, no obvious defects on one side

● FD: Ultra-high grade finished surface, high appearance quality required on both sides

This surface finish ensures that the material is not prone to cracking or deformation during deep drawing, making it suitable for stamped parts with complex shapes.


Process Control


Ensuring high-precision assembly compatibility and performance places extremely high requirements on stamping die design, raw material selection and process stability. Such a precise tolerance range demands top-tier accuracy of processing equipment (e.g., CNC machine tools, die casting machines, mold control), high-quality cutting tools, stable process conditions and reliable fixtures (e.g., temperature control, vibration suppression); any minor deviation may lead to product quality defects.

We adopt advanced manufacturing processes to ensure this precision: realized through high-precision measuring instruments (e.g., Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Roundness Tester, Profile Measuring Instrument), strict process control (e.g., Statistical Process Control (SPC)) and a stabilized machining environment, which guarantees batch production consistency.

Application Value: Maintaining low noise and excellent product performance at high motor speeds, the performance of raw materials and the precision of inner bore tolerance and geometric tolerance directly affect the fitting accuracy between the housing and the motor, which is critical to transmission efficiency, noise control and product service life — it is a core technical indicator for high-end manufacturing.

Surface Treatment


Motor housings operate in harsh working environments with high motor rotation speeds and extreme temperatures, which will inevitably cause rust and corrosion of spare parts without proper treatment. Our company has a professional and experienced core R&D team; through years of practical experience and repeated trials, we have developed a dedicated surface treatment process for this product and adopted sand blasting for surface treatment, with no manual contact with products throughout the entire process. This not only enhances the corrosion resistance of products to meet industry standards, but also reduces the risk of product collision caused by human contact and ensures the operational stability of products.

Other surface treatment methods such as electrophoresis and spray painting are also available and can be fully customized according to customer requirements.
